Having first-hand experience with self-hypnosis and hypnotherapy, Jan knows the power of this accessible and health generating therapy. Jan has practiced self-hypnosis since her early 20s to relieve stress and promote relaxation. She used hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis to support her recovery from asthma as well as eliminate seasonal allergy suffering. She has also used pre- and post-surgery hypnotherapy for a thumb joint replacement surgery which resulted in no pre-surgery anxiety, little to no post-surgery pain, and rapid healing and joint rehabilitation. These highly impactful experiences set her on the path to becoming a clinical hypnotherapist.
Jan received her training at the prestigious Hypnotherapy Academy of America (HAA), North America’s premier state licensed hypnotherapy training institute. Her education included 400 hours of study taught by physicians and leading experts in the field. Only 5% of hypnotherapists have the quality and depth of training that HAA alumni have.
Jan is fellow of the International Board of Hypnotherapy (IBH), which has the most stringent certification requirements of any hypnotherapy board in North America.
Jan holds a MA in Organizational Leadership and has many years of experience in the corporate, education and health promotion sectors. She also brings a wealth of knowledge from her Change Management and Business and Personal Coach training and experience to support her clients in achieving their work and personal goals.
Jan is excited to use her training and experience to support others in reaching their own optimal health and wellness outcomes.
